P1 Honors Innovation Award Recipient
LENEXA, Kan. - Twice a year, P1 Group employees come together to nominate for recognition those that best exemplify P1 values. This week we are proud to announce the recipient of the Innovation Award, Jeff Peterson.
Jeff is a Mechanical Estimator that has been with P1 Group for almost 15 years. He has been instrumental in recent upgrades to our estimating program. Jeff has led the charge on setting up and training Estimators and Project Managers on the Accubid Enterprise system. He has developed a single estimating system platform that the P1 construction and service departments can both use, which is tailored to each department, yet integrated together.
Jeff is continually looking for ways that we can utilize technology to become more productive and efficient. He was instrumental in the recent cost code and budget process improvements. Jeff was determined to assist in developing a coding system that supports the needs of the operating divisions while also providing historical data back to the estimating department. We now have a simple means of evaluating historical data, allowing us to adjust our estimating factors when necessary. He also created a process to export estimating data directly into a budget worksheet which can then be uploaded directly into COINs. This improved process replaces systems of manual entry and will save hours of time for Project Managers and Billing Clerks.
Jeff is very detailed, focused and thorough in his work. He is always willing to teach others and is very timely in his responses. His can-do attitude and “out of the box thinking” make him the perfect recipient for this award.
