P1 Group Awards $500 Scholarships
BASEHOR, Kan. - Two high school seniors received $500 scholarships from P1 Group recently at the Basehor-Linwood High School Academic Awards and Scholarship Recognition Program.
P1 Group hosted a drawing to award three $500 scholarships at the Kansas Association of School Boards convention in December. Two Basehor-Linwood school board members won the drawing along with a school board member from Osborne County Schools.
“We thought that rather than spend money on giveaways, we would put money toward scholarships,” said Dana Dunn, Business Development Executive, P1 Group. “We know that for anyone who is involved with schools in Kansas, it is all about the kids and giving them as many opportunities to succeed as possible, so we were really happy to do this.”
The Basehor-Linwood seniors who received the scholarships are Christopher Lopez, who plans to attend Kansas State University and major in chemical engineering and Megan Van Fleet who will attend K-State to study business with a minor in math.
