CannonDesign provided integrated design and construction services on the project, including modular design and prefabrication, via strategic partner ModularDesign+/P1 Group. The modular rooms were fabricated for the Los Angeles County + University of Southern California (LAC+USC) Restorative Care Village, and consisted of the multi-trade modular fabrication of 76 various “rooms”, all performed within the P1 Group fabrication facility in Lawrence, KS.
Because of P1 having all trades under one roof of our fabrication facility, the multiple fabrication trades were able to work together, side-by-side, for expedited, seamless completion.
The project is a world-changing model for others across the globe in how it focuses on comprehensive residential treatment options. The RCV will be largely modular, with prefabricated materials and spaces, and located on the LAC+USC Medical Campus.
The P1 team built 76 units to be shipped and installed in Los Angeles, CA, in a five-month period. Watch the video.
