P1 Group’s collective years of experience, core values, business integrity, and commitment to innovation and safety span nearly 100 years. We stake our reputation on it with every project we undertake, and our full-service Nuclear Division is no exception.
P1 Group uses innovative solutions such as tablet technology to ensure our company excels in safety. The use of tablets by safety professionals allows us to share audit results instantaneously with all members of P1 management, so that any action items that arise can be dealt with swiftly and effectively. In order to consistently remind employees of P1 Group’s commitment to safety, we send an Accident Prevention Bulletin (APB) whenever an accident occurs. This APB explains the root cause of the accident and corrective actions.
In conjunction with P1 University, P1 developed an approved in-house training program for Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporation (WCNOC) that streamlined in-processing and cut the gap between training and start of work, ultimately saving WCNOC money. Prior to going on-site at Wolf Creek, P1 trained more than 100 personnel in-house at the P1 Lawrence training facility. The training program consisted of a blend of classroom instruction, hands-on labs, and web-based NANTeL (National Academy for Nuclear Training e-Learning) courses that met nuclear regulatory agency standards.
Safety is an integral part of the P1 Group company culture. Our full-time, highly effective CHST Certified team members are involved in every step of a project from preconstruction through completion. With investments into the program and associates who take pride in doing work the right way, P1 Group is one of the safest contractors in the nation. From an associate’s first day at P1, they are introduced to our culture through orientation and training sessions that include detailed discussions about safety.
