P1 Group’s single-source capabilities made us the preferred provider to complete a variety of service scopes in a short amount of time for Wolf Creek.
As a single source solutions provider, P1 Group’s top priority is to provide support to customers in whatever capacity they may need. When Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporation (WCNOC) came to our team with a request to perform the Essential Service Water (ESW) Water Hammer Modification with very little preparation time, we didn’t hesitate to step in and complete the project. In a matter of days, P1 Group was able to secure an additional 25 certified welders to augment current staffing. The increased support enabled us to finish the ESW Above Ground project plus expanded Water Hammer scope within the initial time parameter.
In total, P1 Group installed approximately 700’ of 24” pipe and 40’ of 3” and 8” pipe with more than 570 welds for the Water Hammer Modification. The hard work and dedication of P1 Group was an instrumental part in the successful completion of Refuel 20.
