P1 executed all of the machine tie-ins during two separate ORBIS planned shutdowns, and did not affect any production.
ORBIS reached out to P1 Group initially for an electrical quote to install two new mold machines. While preparing for the proposal, we had concerns about the current state of the electrical distribution. One service was overloaded, one was at max capacity, and the third with almost no load. Bus plugs were mislabeled and had crossed feeds with other machines. We developed a scope to reorganize the production floor bus ducts (3 bus ducts at 60ft each), to evenly distribute the loads on the main service. In addition, to increase safety, we matched the bus plugs to the machines directly below the bus. During initial conversations with ORBIS we discovered other trades would need to be involved in this project. We then developed a scope for the process cooling lines to feed the relocated and new machines. ORBIS was originally concerned with how the relocated and new machines would tie into the existing systems without major interruption to production. P1 was able to execute all of the machine tie-ins during two separate ORBIS planned shutdowns, and did not affect any production.
