That is just one interesting question addressed during the planning of a new mental health campus in Olathe, KS.
Providing support for local charities, community activities, and events is an integral part of the P1 business plan. We take great pride in investing in our community and the lives of our associates. Each year, P1 offers two $500 sponsorships to P1 associates twice per year (spring and fall). All associates may apply for the sponsorships, which are intended to assist in the financial support of those organizations and activities that are important to our associates and the community.
Spring 2023 had a big surprise! The Executive Team simply couldn’t find one cause more worthy than another, so they made everyone who entered a winner! The following individuals have received $500 for the causes they chose.
P1 welcomed the following interns for the summer. Not only will they work with their mentors at various job sites this summer, they will participate in industry-related events with vendors and affiliate organizations like the Mechanical Contractors Association of Kansas City.
And of course, there’s fun on the schedule too, with team building social events throughout the summer.

With all the people P1 Vice President Brad Davis knows in Las Vegas, it might surprise you to learn he grew up in Detroit, Michigan.
But his Vegas future wasn’t far away. When Brad went into the U.S. Air Force after high school, he was stationed in Las Vegas with the occupation of plumbing specialist.
Fleet Adds Semi Truck DayCab for Sheet Metal Transport
When it comes to sheet metal fabrication, things can get pretty big - and transporting large items requires big trailers and big cargo space.
So P1 went “big” with the addition of a new Semi Truck DayCab.
It seems like just yesterday we wrote this article about the Millwright Division of P1 Construction in 2018.
And the Millwrights have come a long way, baby - with impressive project, personnel, and revenue growth.
P1 Operations Manager Robert Bruegman grew up in Bloomfield, NE, with a family of farmers. And even though farming continued to run in the family for some of his siblings, Robert always enjoyed the art of “tinkering” with things.
While still in Bloomfield, he worked as a full-time diesel mechanic and part-time apprentice electrician. After getting married, Robert and his wife moved to Lincoln, NE, for a change of pace. It was there he worked for dirt contractor running heavy equipment.

Finding and retaining talented employees is an ongoing challenge for any organization, especially in this current precarious job market. The need to grow a talent base has become even more necessary, and the P1 internship program is helping address some of these needs for the immediate future and beyond.
It’s no surprise Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) Sheet Metal Specialist James Daugherty built a better way to enjoy cold beverages.
His skill for building things and curiosity about how things work not only led him down an entrepreneurial path, it also helped him find his career at P1.
In just the past few years, P1 Fabrication has come a long way. From increases in volume and manpower hours to the sheer size and complexity of the project we now fabricate, the increase of time and labor has been significant.
It’s a good place to be, but in order to ensure we are able to smoothly meet these demands, an enhancement to our processes was needed.
