Tim has been instrumental in organizing events like P1 Fun@4 and fabrication shop tours that allow customers, prospects, and partners a chance to get to know us better.
P1’s pipe fabrication often includes the production of polypropylene pipe, an alternative - in some applications - to traditional pipe material. Aquatherm is economical, faster to install, and corrosion free.
P1 has forged a strong relationship with Aquatherm, a supplier of polypropylene pipe.
P1 Group has typically acquired business based on the merit of the work performed and considering we have been going strong for 102 years, the system seems to be working.

The P1 Las Vegas team never shies away from a challenge. The mighty Circa Resort and Casino, the first ground-up resort built in downtown Las Vegas since 1980, is no exception.
With tourism facing record lows and many projects stopped or held due to the pandemic, P1 Group was part of a determined team. According to Senior Project Manager Brian Maginness, one of the most remarkable aspects of the project was no work stoppage throughout the entire 22-month project completion period.

CNC stands for Computer Numerical Control. This means a computer converts the design produced by Computer Aided Design software (CAD), into numbers. The numbers can be considered the coordinates of a graph and they control the movement of the cutter. Before this, dimensions had to be taken manually and then cut with the plasma cutter. With the CNC machine, Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) is able to import the dimensions directly from a BIM model and make every cut in an automated process.
The P1 Group Lawrence office is a big part of our history and our future. But the office space at the 220,000 sq. ft. warehouse facility was due for an upgrade.
When P1 Group’s Lawrence office relocated to the current building 13 years ago, it was spacious, but in need of a major remodel to be functional for our needs.Offices were built in what was once warehouse space, new carpet was installed and fresh paint went on the walls.
On October 5, 2018, the P1 Group Tool Shop celebrated ticket order #10,000. The tool shop started doing business out of the merged tool department in Lawrence on October 5, 2015.
Whatever anyone in the fab shops or field may need to perform work, from batteries and hand tools to welding machines and Victaulic grooving machines, the tool shop is designed to be the one-stop shop for those needs.
Make it and take it! Efficiency is the name of the game, and that’s why P1 Group invests in four fabrication shops at our 220,000 sq ft warehouse space in Lawrence, KS. Fabrication gives P1 Group yet another edge in our diversified capabilities.
