Hunter’s Outdoor Learning Areaat Bonner Springs Elementary School, nominated by Pam Frazey, P1 receptionist. HOLA was established in honor of the grandson of the school’s principal, Kim Mitchell. Hunter was born prematurely and lived for 18 minutes. The children of the school raised money for the learning area with a penny drive. The area has been vandalized twice so the teachers, parents and children hope to establish more lighting and possibly move it closer to the building. Pam's granddaughter, Jillian Bowman, attends the school.
