Our core business consists of construction, engineering, commissioning, and operating and maintaining facilities. Based on our values and capabilities, we prioritize the essential activities first to make sure the building systems are providing the level of comfort they were designed to offer. It is very important to understand the systems operation in addition to the equipment operation. From these discoveries and documented deficiencies energy savings become the by-product of making the systems operate properly.

Understanding how systems should operate is how P1 Group differentiates ourselves from competition. We accomplish these tasks both from the engineering side as well as through field knowledge. Our experience and long-term working professional knowledge make opportunities a win-win for the owner.

USGBC Member

The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) is a non-profit organization committed to expanding sustainable building practices. USGBC is composed of more than 15,000 organizations from across the construction industry that are working to advance structures that are environmentally responsible, profitable and healthy places to live and work. Members include building owners and end-users, real estate developers, facility managers, architects, designers, engineers, general contractors, subcontractors, product and building system manufacturers, government agencies and non-profits.

Our approach to this process is developed in two methods:

Operational Project Savings

Operational Project savings result from the detailed review of the facilities’ operations. This approach often provides for both operational and energy savings with "low to no cost" of capital expenditure. In order to obtain the Operational Savings, a great deal of hands-on technical expertise is required. This comes from a good understanding of how systems are engineered as well as the operational functionality.

Capital Project Savings

Capital Project savings come from a higher level review of the facilities equipment and technologies. Capital Projects typically involve the replacement of older technologies with modern, high efficiency technologies. These types of projects often include the change out of major energy-using equipment and systems, control system upgrades, etc.
