P1 wins mechanical project at Lake City Army Ammunition Plant

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. – P1 Group, Inc. has won sheet metal and plumbing work for the wastewater treatment building addition at the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant in Independence, Mo.

P1 Group was awarded this project in June 2011 and expects to complete field work and rough in by January 2012. Full commission is scheduled for April 2012.

Scope of Work

  • Provide and install ventilation and exhaust for building addition
  • Provide and install water supply to building addition
  • Provide and install drain piping and sump pump for building addition

Lake City Army Ammunition Plant (LCAAP) was originally established by Remington Arms in 1941 to manufacture and test small caliber ammunition for the U.S. Army. Today it is operated by Alliant Techsystems (NYSE:ATK) and is the single largest producer of small arms ammunition for the United States military.
