P1 receives praise for design-build LEED renovation at Fort Leavenworth

Fort Leavenworth Building 465

P1 Group recently helped JE Dunn Construction complete renovations of the historic Building 465 in Fort Leavenworth, Kan. P1 Group provided HVAC and plumbing design-build services to turn the four-story 36,000-square-foot building into sustainable technology classrooms and support spaces (Click Here to view original project announcement).

In light of the success of the project, JE Dunn Construction Senior Project Engineer Donny Tennyson recognized P1 Group’s communication, onsite supervision and reliability. Here is what he had to say:

On behalf of JE Dunn Construction and the rest of the project team, I would personally like to thank you and your staff for your contributions to the successful completion of the Building 465 Renovation project.

As you know, this project has been complex in regards to the historic restoration requirements, LEED initiatives and design-build delivery method. In addition to the complexities, the project has been challenged to exceed the expectations of a demanding and experienced client.

Your teams’ continued efforts have contributed greatly to the overall success of this job. In particular, your constant and direct interaction throughout design set an early standard for all other team members to strive for. Your onsite supervision was also regarded as one of the best on the project in terms of resolving issues quickly, and with minimal disruption to the construction schedule. Lastly, your office consistently delivered as promised on all items related to design, LEED documentation, closeout, and pricing. Overall, I can personally say that my experience with P1 Group on this project has been a positive one.

I thank you and the rest of your staff for your hard work, and I truly hope that we may have the opportunity for similar success on future projects.

Sincerely,

Donny Tennyson
