P1 Group wins second phase of electrical project at 3M Nevada plant

NEVADA, Mo. – P1 Group, Inc. is proud to announce it has won the second phase of the X-4 Process Line project at the 3M plant in Nevada, Mo.  After providing bus duct, power distribution, lighting and general power in the first phase, P1 Group will now perform the controls and process line equipment installation and wiring.

The work was awarded in January 2010 and is expected to be completed by March 2010.  

Scope of Work

  • Distribution of 4,000 amps to multiple pieces of equipment
  • Installation of 1,000’+ of wireway that will contain all power wiring, control wiring and instrument wiring
  • Setting of multiple control cabinets
  • Execute 5,000 man hours from February 1 to March 16

Congratulations to John Lundien, P1 Electrical General Foreman, whose relationship and previous P1 work with 3M Nevada was instrumental in securing this project. The following people also deserve congratulations for putting together a thorough and competitive estimate:

The 3M Nevada plant is the center of the 3M Commercial Graphics business, which offers materials and solutions to the worldwide graphics and signage industry. The 769,000-square-foot plant is operated by more than 600 employees who fulfill over 7,500 orders per month.
