P1 Group wins MEP work on Lawrence Memorial Hospital renovations

LAWRENCE, Kan. – P1 Group, Inc. is pleased to announce it has won the sheet metal, plumbing, piping and electrical portions of the first floor renovations at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Lawrence, Kan.

This project was awarded in April 2010 and is expected to be completed in May 2011.

Scope of Work

  • Additions to and relocation of existing medical gas and plumbing services as required for new procedure and lab areas
  • New ductwork and VAV boxes with hot water reheat in existing area
  • Replacement of large air handling unit which conditions the new procedure and lab areas and other portions of the hospital
  • Installation of a new Phoenix Exhaust system for the new lab area
  • Power and lighting for lab/procedure areas
  • (3) new electrical gear closets
  • Rough-in for all the security, CCTV, teledata and nurse call systems

Dolan Boxberger, project engineer, and Darren Ousdahl, electrical foreman, will oversee the electrical portion of this project.

Lawrence Memorial Hospital is a community-owned, not-for-profit hospital with 173 beds. It was founded in 1921.
