P1 Group wins MEP project at Ransom Memorial Hospital

OTTAWA, Kan. – P1 Group, Inc. is proud to announce it has won a mechanical, electrical and plumbing project at Ransom Memorial Hospital in Ottawa, Kan. The project consists of approximately 16,000 square feet of additional space for a new operating suite and LDRP unit.  P1 Group will also renovate an additional 20,000 square feet on the first and second floors. The existing second floor will be renovated for new administrative areas, patient rooms and an ICU unit. The current OR on the first floor will be renovated into a new PACU and surgical support area.

One challenge that P1 will work to overcome is relocating existing utilities, including the bulk oxygen tank and operating room condensing unit. This of course must done while keeping the hospital fully functional.

This project is scheduled to be completed by September 2011.

  • New domestic water converter
  • New heating hot water converter
  • Chilled water and heating water pumps
  • New emergency power system
  • New electrical service
  • New fire alarm system
  • New nurse call system

Ransom Memorial Hospital has been in operation since 1931 and features 55 beds and a hospital staff of over 280 people. It is also on Solucient’s list of Top 100 Hospitals.
