P1 Group wins large project at Luke Air Force Base

Luke AFB

GLENDALE, Ariz. – P1 Group has won a large HVAC and plumbing renovation project at the Luke Air Force Base Medical/Dental Clinic. Luke AFB is the largest fighter wing in the Air Force, with 138 F-16s assigned and more than 400 F-16 pilots and 470 crew chiefs graduating each year.

The Medical/Dental Clinic was built in 1974 and needs a great deal of renovation. The project is intended to reconfigure spaces within the clinic to address the aging facility’s issues and better meet the needs of its patients. The clinic serves 7,500 air force personnel and 84,000 eligible beneficiaries. Approximately 500 staff members provide care and administrative support for 131,000 visits to the ambulatory clinic each year, and 1,300 surgeries.

P1 Group worked on Phase 1 of the clinic’s renovation in 2007. The new project is part of Phase 3, which will begin in November, 2015 with an estimated completion date of November, 2017.
