P1 Group wins electrical X-4 project at 3M Nevada plant

NEVADA, Mo. – P1 Group, Inc. is proud to announce it has won the electrical portion of the X-4 Process Line at the 3M plant in Nevada, Mo. P1 will modify the existing high-voltage electrical service, provide bus duct, power distribution, lighting and general power for the new process line.  This project is a capital project that P1 helped budget based on our long-term involvement at the facility. Additional controls and process line equipment installation and wiring will be added as a result of this initial project.

The work will commence during the Thanksgiving 2009 shutdown and be completed by February 2010.  

Scope of Work

  • Add 600 amp 12,470 volt switch
  • Add 4000 amp 480 volt bus duct
  • Add 4000 amp switchgear
  • Lighting and general power for 14,000-square-foot process line building

The 3M Nevada plant is the center of the 3M Commercial Graphics business, which offers materials and solutions to the worldwide graphics and signage industry. The 769,000-square-foot plant is operated by more than 600 employees who fulfill over 7,500 orders per month.
