KANSAS CITY, Mo. – A new, brightly lit display at the downtown Children’s Mercy Hospitals & Clinics campus recognizes the many donors, including P1 Group, Inc., to the largest fundraising effort in the hospital’s history.
Donors to the Healthier Ever After campaign, which raised more than $162 million between January 2007 and June 2013, are named on the donor recognition wall. The funds raised through Healthier Ever After allowed Children’s Mercy to add seven outpatient clinics in Kansas City and the region and to enhance the scope of services overall.
Children’s Mercy staff recently invited donors to see the recognition display and also look around some of the other public spaces at the Children’s Mercy – Adele Hall Campus (the newly re-named downtown Children’s Mercy location).
Megan Day, Director of Corporate Relations, led a tour for two P1 Group associates, who enjoyed seeing the wall and also several newly-finished spaces that P1 has helped the hospital complete.
Day said the hospital’s corporate sponsors are crucial to their mission.
“By giving to Children’s Mercy, corporate supporters send a message to their employees, customers and the Kansas City community, that they care about the health, safety and wellness of area families,” she said. “And most importantly, P1 Group’s commitments and support over the years has kept us in the business of saving and improving lives.”
