Several P1 Group associates have recently taken advantage of continuing education opportunities to improve their test and balance (TAB) skills.
Kevin Woods passed both the written and practical exams required to be a National Environmental Balancing Bureau (NEBB) TAB Certified Professional.
Woods passed the four-hour written exam locally and then traveled to a NEBB-certified lab in Maryland to complete the hands-on portion. Including studying time, the rigorous process often takes a minimum of a year to complete. He will now join fellow P1 associates Justin Salmon and Ken Beebe in accomplishing this feat, as well as be promoted to a supervisor within the company.
Vance Backlund and Mike Haycock are also on track to become TAB Certified Professionals having already passed the written examination. They will prepare to take the practical exam in February in Florida.
In addition, Sean Marconette, Adam Collier and John Cobb recently passed the NEBB TAB Certified Technician written exam.
As one of the area’s leaders in TAB, P1 Group is also currently seeking to have its state-of-the-art Training Center become a NEBB-approved practical exam site. The P1 Training Center has complete and operating commercial-type mechanical systems, exposing all trainees to actual operating conditions using simulated HVAC systems.
